POLISH MUSIC IN UKRAINE – 2026
CONCERTS
The Pro Musica Viva Foundation, based on a grant from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in cooperation with the philharmonics in in Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Lviv and Cherkasy, as well as with the Kharkiv Opera Theatre, the National Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra and the Polish Institute in Kyiv, is organising a series of six concerts featuring Polish music in Ukraine in 2026. The programme will feature works by Józef Elsner, Stanisław Moniuszko, Władysław Żeleński, Witold Lutosławski, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Wojciech Kilar, Mikołaj Piotr Górecki, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Karol Szymanowski and Fryderyk Chopin. The Ukrainian orchestras will be conducted by Roman Rewakowicz, and the soloists will be Ukrainian musicians – pianists Dmytro Tawanec, Oleksandra Zajcewa and József Örmény, and violinist Andrij Pawłow.
