Chamber Choir “Credo” was founded in 2002. The repertoire of the choir includes works of sacred and secular music of various eras, styles, countries, as well as folk music.

Credo chamber choir was established in April 2002. It is sung by graduates and students of Ukrainian music universities. The ensemble is led by Bohdan Plish, winner of the L. Revutsky Prize, winner of the Grand Prix of the 3rd All-Ukrainian Choral Conductors’ Competition, graduate of the choral conducting department in the class of Prof. Levko Venedyktov at the Pyotr Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Kyiv, as well as opera and symphonic conducting in the class of Prof. Roman Kofman.

The choir’s repertoire includes works of sacred and secular music of various eras, styles, countries, as well as folk music. The seven-year concert activity of the ensemble has included as many as a hundred premiere performances. The choir has given concerts in Russia, Poland, Germany, Italy, at many prestigious festivals and competitions, in which it has won prizes and awards. (Among other things, the ensemble is the winner of the 24th International Orthodox Music Competition “Hajnówka 2005”). The choir cooperates with the Ukrainian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kyiv Chamber Orchestra, the National Ensemble of Soloists “Kyiv Camerata”, the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra.

Among the great projects carried out by “Credo” recently are the performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem under the baton of Mykola Diadiura, the concert premiere of Henry Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas, and the performance of cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, Gloria Аntonio Vivaldi under the baton of Roman Kofman. The ensemble has recorded three compact discs: Songs and Prayers by Georgi Sviridov (2004), Аrchangelic Voice – Chants of Kiev(2007), Pascha New, Holy (2009).
