Cappella Corale Varsaviana – tour Belarus, Ukraine

CONCERTS

In late June and early July 2018. The "Pro Musica Viva" Foundation organised a concert tour by the CAPPELLA CORALE VARSAVIANA Choir under the direction of ROMAN REWAKOWICZ to cities in Belarus and Ukraine based on grants from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the City of Warsaw and ZAiKS. The programme of the concerts was filled with Polish a cappella choral music from the 16th - 21st centuries and included works by Wacław from Szamotuły, Mikołaj Gomółka, Grzegorz Gerwase Gorczycki, Feliks Nowowiejski, Juliusz Łuciuk, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Bartosz Kowalski, as well as Belarusian composer Dmitry Lybin and Ukrainian composer Bohdan Sehin. The concerts took place in Brest, Minsk, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky and Lviv in cooperation with the General Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Brest, the Belarusian Union of Music Activists and the Association of Young Belarusian Composers, the Polish Institute in Minsk, the Polish Institute in Kiev, the National Choir of Ukraine "DUMKA" and the philharmonics in Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky and Lviv.
