The National Ensemble of Soloists “Kyiv Camerata” is a leading Ukrainian ensemble performing chamber music of various styles and eras. The ensemble’s repertoire is filled with works by A. Vivaldi, J. S. Bach, J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart, E. Grieg, A. Dvorak, P. Tchaikovsky, I. Stravinsky, A. Schoenberg as well as the most significant examples of avant-garde music of the second half of the 20th century. The most important part of the ensemble’s activity, however, is the performance and popularization of native Ukrainian contemporary music.

The ” Kyiv Camerata” ensemble was founded in 1977 by prominent pianist Valery Matiuchin. The ensemble was inspired by the need to perform newly created Ukrainian works by composers affiliated with the Union of Composers of Ukraine. For a long time “Kyiv Camerata” was a kind of laboratory of Ukrainian contemporary music.
