His greatest dream was to perform on the boards of one of the stages at Carnegie Hall in New York. Thanks to hard work and perseverance, this dream could come true! On 24 February 2016, Jakub Frączek became the winner of the 2016 American Protégé International Concerto Competition and was given the opportunity to play on 18 December 2016 in this unique venue for artists from all over the world. The Pro Musica Viva Foundation helped to make this dream a reality.
Since 2012 alone, as a soloist he has been awarded, among other prizes, 3rd prize at the International Marimba Competition in Nurenberg, 2nd prize at the International Vibraphone Competition in Fermo. Playing the Marimba, he won the National Music Interpretation Competition in Przemyśl and was awarded 3rd place in two categories: Marimba and Snare drum at the International Percussion Competition for Young Soloists in Athens. He was also awarded 1st prize in the Marimba category at the Montebello della Battaglia International Percussion Competition in Italy. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Poland, Germany, Greece or Italy, at International and National festivals. He has performed twice at the International Percussion Festival "Sources and Inspirations". As a marimba soloist, he has performed with the Symphony Orchestra of the Kalisz Philharmonic, the Chamber Orchestra of the City of Jaworzno - " Archetti", the Chamber Orchestra of the Students of the Academy of Music in Kraków and the Choir of the Academy of Music in Kraków. For his artistic achievements to date, he has been awarded the "Młoda Polska" Scholarship and received the Scholarship of the Małopolska Scholarship Foundation "SAPERE AUSO".
