Musical dialogues Belarus – Poland – Ukraine

CONCERTS

The 'Pro Musica Viva' Foundation, in collaboration with the Lublin Philharmonic, organised a concert featuring the 'Kyiv Soloists' Chamber Ensemble conducted by Roman Rewakowicz. The soloist was accordionist Klaudiusz Baran. The concert took place on 20 May 2017 at the Concert Hall of the Lublin Philharmonic. The repertoire included classic Polish works by Grazyna Bacewicz and Mieczyslaw Karlowicz, as well as Polish premieres of new works for accordion and string orchestra by Ukrainian composer Oleksandr Szymka and Belarusian composer Dmitry Lybin. The concert was co-financed by the City of Lublin.

- Oleksandr Shymko (Ukraine) - LIVINLIV for accordion and string orchestra (2017 - first performance in Poland)
- Dmitry Lybin (Belarus) - Breath of Autumn for accordion and string orchestra (2017 - first performance in Poland)
- Mieczyslaw Karlowicz - Serenade for string orchestra, op. 2 (1897)
