Warsaw Salon
CONCERTS
The salon is a place where great and established artists have performed, but it is also a place where young artists just beginning their careers have shown themselves.
Warsaw salon at the beginning of the 21st century! According to postmodern philosophy, anything is possible. And so also the return of the Salon. That place where art was a necessity of life, was, as it were, life itself, and an evening without a performance by a favorite musician or a show by an actor was lost. The art salon reigned supreme in the 19th century. After all, it was in salons that the music of Chopin and Moniuszko, Liszt and Paderewski, Zeleński and Karłowicz resounded. A salon is a place where great and established artists performed, but also a place where young artists just beginning their careers showed off. For them, recognition and success "in the salons" was often the ticket to a further career. It is to this tradition that our Warsaw salon - anno domini 2006 - refers. We want to present to you musicians who are beginning the difficult career of an artist - musician and actor. Some of them have greater achievements, others less - but all of them are full of faith in their strength, faith that not only salons, but also great concert halls of the world will be open to them. We would like to invite all of you to our Warsaw Salon, which will be located in the Paca Palace - in the beautiful Ballroom dating back to the 1830s. Here, throughout the summer, every Friday will resound with music and poetry. We will listen primarily to Polish music of the 19th century, which sounded in the 19th century salon, but - as befits a 21st century salon, lightly enlivened with music and poetry of times closer to us.
