POLISH MUSIC IN UKRAINE

CONCERTS

In 2020, we celebrated the 210th anniversary of the birth of Fryderyk Chopin. On this occasion, the Pro Musica Viva Foundation, based on a grant from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and with the financial support of the Polish Institute in Kyiv, in cooperation with the Philharmonics in Lviv and Khmelnytskyi, as well as the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, organised a series of concerts entitled "Polish Music in Ukraine".
The repertoire of the concerts included works by Fryderyk Chopin, Mieczysław Karłowicz and Wojciech Kilar. The soloist was the young pianist Tomasz Marut, and the symphonic orchestras were conducted by Roman Rewakowicz.

- Mieczysław Karłowicz - "Serenade" for string orchestra, op. 2 (1896)
- Wojciech Kilar - "Orawa" for string orchestra (1986)
- Fryderyk Chopin - Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, Op. 11 (1830)
